On January 31 the IInd Adolescence Health Italian Day officially opened the YOUTH HEALTH EUROPEAN YEAR (YHEY) which will be celebrated on 1st November 2008, the Ist Youth Health European Day.

Italy has been the country where in 1993 in the 1st International Conference Adolescentology,  as a new multidisciplinar field of research and clinics was presented by prof. Giuseppe R. Brera.  The conference  was organized in  Assisi, Italy on October 23-24, 1993 with the cooperation of the United Nations. In the same occasion the Universal Declaration of Youth Rights and Duties was presented.
